Three Shires National Rally Route Trail

We arranged to meet at 0900 for depart at 0930 at M18 Jc1 Mc Donalds, Keven, Richard, Paul & Lisa turned up for this epic ride to Blue Dolphin to check site and all is ready for our arrival.  Then onward onto the route that Richard has in mind for the Saturday bike ride, let me tell you this now.  Apart from two very sharp turns one with a bad camber and part of the section you and your pillion might leave the seat if you hit the humps little fast your are all in for a treat.  Oh not to forget the Kamikaze Sheep the like to walk on the road and cross it without using the Highway Code.  We did see a Harley with a Flat Tyre so that might be a consideration also.
We Arrived around 1130 at Blue Dolphin where Keven Check his reservation, I mean he checked HOC's reservation's.  After making sure all was in place we had a walk around the sight to check for parking etc.  The best place for us to park seem to be in the centre of the complex near Burger King, Arcade and the Wonder shop after booking in.  We had a cup of tea in the Bar and then tactics and route was shown by Richard to the rest of us.

The Route takes us passed some very beautiful landscapes from fast A roads to small narrow twisty, hmm Lanes ?.   Anyone thinking about coming and hasn't booked you will miss something special and fun, so think hard about booking NOW!.  We stopped quickly on route at one view,  there are so many on route this is just one of them and there are far more.

We stopped after about 1hour 15min after departing Blue Dolphin at Rosedale.  Here we found a pleasant small village with 2 Pubs, 2 tea Rooms and a nice abbey to have a walk around and rest.  there's a large garden to one of the pubs with a small green across road so there should be able parking and room for us all with parking in both pubs available along with the road sides.  Keven, Paul & Lisa had the Farmhouse Sausage Sandwich which was 1 Sausage in a small bread cake x2, very nice and with a plate of chips as a side would make a very nice meal and at £1.80 for the Sandwich very reasonable.  Richard opted for the Beef Sandwich and was around £6.00 but he commented it was very tasty.

After the Meal and a cuddle with the village cats we had a walk around the village bought a cake or two (Yummy) then set off again taking in some more sights and roads across the North Moors stopping onto of one hill for the picture stop and onward to the next stop which is in Stokesley Approx 75mile from the Blue Dolphin for fuel.  This is the only open Fuel station before then so small fuel tanks might need to carry a spare, we will be refuelling just outside Blue Dolphin before the ride.
After we refuelled we headed onward to Helmsley for an ice cream, this is only a small village and the central parking area is also small but with luck we should all be able to fit in or around the area for a quick tea break before the quick return route.  The Sun was out and sky's where blue and if the same is true in 2 weeks this years Rally is in good state and will be a challenge for next year's to match.

See You All There
