| So with the date agreed for Friday 1st Feb, for 'S no Rally, the day was soon upon us. The rally, was to be held at the farm near the Black a Moore Pub (Now Closed). John and Paul decided to ride up there together, meeting up at Junction 35 at 1430, but a phone call from Pete changed that, as Pete and Kate (Aka Jordan & Peter) were struggling for space to bring everything to the farm, so Paul and John swung by and picked up the most important thing.........the beer! They then decided to head to Crusader Leathers to pick up a few items and have a cup of tea, finally arriving at the farm around 1600. |

| Kev W came out and told us where to
pitch our tents which we done with great enjoyment, fighting the wind.
Once Pete and Kate arrived Paul was able to blow up his air bed,
but unfortunately for Paul he had bought one the same size as the Inner of his
tent but when it is inflated the door into the tent is much narrower than
then inner of the tent. Great amusement was had at the expense of Paul
as he struggled to get the airbed into the tent, after much pushing and
twisting the airbed was in. Now it was time for that much needed cup
of tea. The nights meal was Chilli Made by Pete and it was very nice indeed. |

The Birthday Girl For her 26th birthday 'Weekend' Debbie had a time she'd never forget, 1st there was the ride out planned by Kev W ( See below) then both night she had the evenings entertainment from one of the Three Shires guitarists, then she was finally presented with her own 'Birthday Cake' which we all shared. 'Happy Birthday Debbie' Derek and Brian Whilst the rest of us were getting merry on the beer, wine and spirits, Derek and Brian became the 'S No Rallys Live Evening entertainment, so thanks guys, I think we all enjoyed the sing alongs! During the playing we even had time to tell the old joke and story. If you check out the link at the bottom, you'll see Jennie either didn't take to the cold or was just wise in wearing 6 - yes 6 layers of clothing..... But as you can see below we all had a great evening, even with Derek telling Brain 'It's better with the strap on!!!!' (Well what was meant by that I wonder - hehehe) |

Most of us woke
on Saturday around 0700, opening our tents to find the weather as
predicted had bought snow, as you can see we had a covering on the tents.
A cooked breakfast was needed with a cup of tea, this was cooked by Kev and
Kev with the aid of Kate and David, after we'd all had a few cups of tea and
coffee, we all started getting the bikes ready for the days rideout, which
Kev Warman has planned. Sticking to the major roads due to
the snow fall, Kev still made it an enjoyable ride, enabling those who have
travel some distance to see some of the sights Derbyshire has to offer. With Paul setting off ahead to take some pictures of us riding our bikes, one might even get into the Goldenwing......well maybe one day. |

| Stopping at Tideswell for Lunch at the 'Vintage' Tea Shop who's staff welcomed us with open arms they made our meal an enjoyable one. Jennie who is on her diet even was supplied with hot water for her meal thou dropping the lid off the teapot into her bowl of soup did make us all chuckle. We departed Tideswell and headed for one of our local bike shops 'Crusader Leathers' to have another cup of tea with Ski, one of the Founding members of the Three Shires who works there. Once warmed up and a few items purchased we headed back the farm. | |||||
| Curry was on the
menu for Saturday night and entertainment was from Nigel and Keven on
their guitars, with the odd Brownie sing along provided by Nog. The
curry was very nice thou little spicy as the pictures of Kev and Kev turning
the same colour as the Three Shires Rally T-Shirt can prove. Prizes were to be handed out that night for the following categorise: Worst Bike : Richard, Best Bike : Dibble, Most Distance : Richard & Debbie But John had a special prize for Paul, (if you've read about Mablethorpe 08) for happening to mention about NOT stopping on the run down, So because Paul threw the DUMMY in the corners is prize was one, his very own! |

| Jan and Gerry owners of the farm joined us for the evenings entertainment with two of their friends. A great evening was had by all even with Jan (A English school teacher) pointing out the spelling mistakes in the song sheets. No one tell her about this website as I'll get my hands wrapped next year (thou I do use spell check A LOT). |
Thanks to all who made this a fantastic weekend and what a great way to set of the Honda Owners Club 2008 Season. |
