NEC 07

Karl, Mags and Mark went the first weekend of the NEC and Peter & Jordan went Monday while Tuesday stopping overnight.  Keven, Brain, John & Paul went down on the last Sunday 2nd December and this is how the day panned out.
With the weather forecasts for strong winds and heavy showers it was decided that would meet at B&M Honda and travel down in one car to save the environment.  The fact we had more space to buy things had nothing to do with it, it was for the environment.

We departed B&M Honda around 0800 and arrived in the wet at the NEC around 0915 just before the queues started to arrive.  We watched the Mini Moto's racing around the indoor track whilst we had a coffee awaiting the opening of the show.

On our way there a lovely lady from the Suzuki stand walked past us and Keven just happened to notice a small mark on her jeans pack pocket saying along the lines of "boys look at that".  Unfortunately her co-worker also a lovely lady noticed Keven's looks and pointed out she had seen the mark herself.  (Honest!, would I lie to anyone)

We started off having a look around the trade stands as Paul was after a New Helmet and bought a lovely Schuberth from Helmet city, Keven was after a pair of new boots which he finally managed to find whilst John was after a one piece rain suit but decided that Ski at Crusader Leathers was the best option.  That however didn't stop him getting dressed up in a few to make sure.

There was a challenge to get dressed into a rain suit helmet and gloves at the Blackhorse Stand with some members of the public managing to achieve this in under a minute.

We met up with the HOC stand and Erica as normal was hard at it.  Getting interest into the HOC and the things we do and stand for.  We booked our Calendars, Mugs and T-Shirts before departing for a look around the Manufactures part of the Show.  The Kawasaki 1400 was very impressive with a great riding position and controls, thou the Goldwing and Pan are still top of my wish list.  We stopped half way round for something to eat and returned to the HOC Stand around 1500 to pick up our Mugs etc before departing for home, where Rona blessed us with some lovely shots for the website.  You could see the day had taken it's toll on everyone, but it turned out to be a great day out for us all.
