Honda Owners Festival 07

We arranged to meet around 0830 for departing at 0900.  I arrived just around 0800 to get a coffee and some breakfast before we left for the Honda Festival. around 0830 Keven arrived on his VFR shortly followed by Carl, Martin and John on there Pan's and Richard our navigator.  Yes even Carl Managed to move the 2.5 vans out of the way to join us on this ride out, Picture is proof as no one will belief us otherwise someone said.
We departed just after 0900 when martin finished his breakfast and headed down the A616,614,46.  Me being new to the buddy system missed stopping at the second roundabout but Keven stopped on my place then the next roundabout I caused little confusion as I stopped just after the small roundabout but left my indicator on with a small side road on left. Keven and Carl turned down the little road only to spin around and headed the right way ooops.
Later on the ride down Richard had to have a polite word with a bus driver after he pulled out on him at a roundabout on the A46 but then we had an almost unhindered ride down to the festival taking some nice back roads to get our bike over a bit and use the whole tyre.
Upon arriving Richard shot off to get some cigs and we paid the £8 entry fee and had a walk down past the BMW show and towards the Honda show.  There we met Dibble, Graham and Erica near the Oxford HOC tent we then went into the dinning area and had something to eat and drink followed by a walk around the museum.
Keven impressed us with his knowledge of the overdrive system, and I found the future Mini for my wife (She likes Mini's,  No not that sort of Mini).  Clive & Ursulla Said hello to us in the museum and shortly after wards I bumped into the rest of the West Yorkshire HOC having a sit down in the cool museum.  Where we chatted about our wet ride out to Squires and got invited to the Whitney ride out on the 19th August.  Thou if it rains I'm not allowed to come on any more ride's as big Steve has found a rust spot from the last time.
Outside Was a nice collection of bikes for over the years including the international xx club who we running a small 20p Guess the total mileage of the 6 Bikes 67000 I guessed and 68000 Keven guessed but Martin won 3rd prize as he guessed close at 108000 miles.
There was also I well crafted 1800 Goldwing, with a difference on show. as well as Honda bringing out a range on fleet bikes for us to try out.
Shortly afterward we departed back to Yorkshire,  Fuelled up at Tamworth where we split into 2 groups one going the scenic route and myself, Keven and Martin headed the quick way back.
Once I arrived home I told my wife to get her gear on as it was such a nice day.  We went to her sisters and then onto Fox House, back via Ladybower.
A great day was had by all, I would say and I'm looking forward to our next ride shortly.
